I spotted this on alittlebutalot and decided to give it a go. If you like the look of it, please feel free to try it out.
1. DO YOU GET SICK WHILE READING IN THE CAR?
Sadly, yes. It’s frustrating at times but, on the upside, it does mean I can enjoy some absolutely banging audiobooks.
2. WHICH AUTHOR’S WRITING STYLE IS COMPLETELY UNIQUE TO YOU AND WHY?
You can never mistake Terry Pratchett’s mix of the magical and the mundane. People try but they just can’t quite hit the mark.
3. HARRY POTTER SERIES OR THE TWILIGHT SAGA? GIVE THREE POINTS TO DEFEND YOUR ANSWERS.
Harry Potter, every time!
- The writing
- The characters
- EVERY-FRICKIN’-THING!
4. DO YOU CARRY A BOOK BAG? IF SO, WHAT’S IN IT (BESIDES BOOKS…)?
I mean, usually, every book I carry has at least one book in it so, yes, I suppose?
5. DO YOU SMELL YOUR BOOKS?
Honestly can’t say I have.
6. BOOKS WITH OR WITHOUT LITTLE ILLUSTRATIONS?
Yes, yes, yes!
7. WHAT BOOK DID YOU LOVE WHILE READING BUT DISCOVERED LATER IT WASN’T QUALITY WRITING?
Honestly, I have no idea why I liked this series so much the first time round. The second time reading it was utter torment.
8. DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY STORIES INVOLVING BOOKS FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD? PLEASE SHARE!
Not entirely sure if this is funny but, the day that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out, I got it delivered in the morning and proceeded to lock myself in my room all day reading it, quarantining myself from the Internet until I reached the last page just before bed. I don’t think I’d ever read a big book like that in one sitting before or since.
9. WHAT IS THE THINNEST BOOK ON YOUR SHELF?
And I still haven’t read it.
10. WHAT IS THE THICKEST BOOK ON YOUR SHELF?
Yeah, it’s safe to say I’m a bit obsessed if I read a 1000 page biography on them.
11. DO YOU WRITE AS WELL AS READ? DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE FUTURE AS BEING AN AUTHOR?
It’s been my childhood ambition and I’ve been writing books and short stories for years. Now, I’m just trying to get them publishable.
12. WHEN DID YOU GET INTO READING?
Awful teachers put me off reading for pleasure until fairly late in my childhood so I mainly stuck with radio dramatisations. In fact, it was the Harry Potter series that got me into reading when I was in the last few years of primary school and I’ve never looked back.
13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CLASSIC BOOK?
Was there ever any doubt?
14. IN SCHOOL, WHAT WAS YOUR BEST SUBJECT?
English, easily. I liked it so much, I did a degree on it.
15. IF YOU WERE GIVEN A BOOK AS A PRESENT THAT YOU HAD READ BEFORE AND HATED… WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Ooh, cringe! Never been in that position yet but I think I’d just smile, say thanks and quietly drop the book off at the charity shop. Maybe, in the run-up to my next birthday/Christmas, I’ll drop a few anvil-sized hints about the books I really like and hope they take the hint.
16. WHAT IS A LESSER KNOWN SERIES THAT YOU KNOW OF THAT IS SIMILAR TO HARRY POTTER OR THE HUNGER GAMES?
It’s not exactly obscure but it is essential reading!
17. WHAT IS A BAD HABIT YOU ALWAYS DO (BESIDES RAMBLING) WHILE FILMING?
I don’t have a booktube account. I’m not good on camera.
18. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WORD?
Uhm, I think, in English, ‘cadaverous’. In German, my favourite word is ‘fledermaus’, which means bat but its literal translation is ‘flitter mouse’. Who says German can’t be cute?
19. ARE YOU A NERD, DORK, OR DWEEB? OR ALL OF THE ABOVE?
20. VAMPIRES OR FAIRIES? WHY?
Vampires. They’ve had a bad rep recently because of The-Series-That-Must-Not-Be-Named but there are good vampire books out there. It’s about time they had a resurgence.
21. SHAPESHIFTERS OR ANGELS? WHY?
Angels are awesome, especially the one shown above. Can’t wait for Good Omens to come out.
22. SPIRITS OR WEREWOLVES? WHY?
I think spirits have a lot more to work with than werewolves.
23. ZOMBIES OR VAMPIRES? WHY?
See above.
24. LOVE TRIANGLE OR FORBIDDEN LOVE?
Forbidden love is the lesser evil. It’s alright if done well but love triangles are never good things.
25. FULL ON ROMANCE BOOKS OR ACTION-PACKED WITH A FEW LOVE SCENES MIXED IN?
Action all the way!
This was fun. Finding all the gifs was rather time consuming but I think it was worth it.
I hope to see you again very soon.
