As the last UK bank holiday before Christmas starts to draw to a close and the return to work looms, I think I need to do a book tag to cheer myself up. I found this one on alittlebutalot and it’s a tag created by Tea Party Princess. It’s the perfect one for today so let’s give it a whirl.
HAVE A LIE IN. WHICH BOOK COULD YOU LOUNGE IN BED WITH ALL MORNING?
Something light’s best for when I’m still feeling sleepy and a manga of a beloved series fits the bill nicely.
OH MY GOODNESS! IT’S ACTUALLY SUNNY OUTSIDE! WHICH BOOK MAKES YOU FEEL OPTIMISTIC?
Space is absolutely terrifying but Mark Watney still manages to make me smile
SPEND SOME TIME OUTDOORS. WHICH BOOK REMINDS YOU OF NATURE?
Specifically, ocean nature.
MAKE SOME PUNCH. WHICH BOOK DO YOU FIND DIFFICULT TO CLASSIFY IN ONE GENRE?
Part murder mystery, part fantasy, part sci-fi, I’m sure this is mystifying bookshop owners everywhere. It’s certainly a bit too long and convoluted for its own good, that’s for sure.
PASS AROUND SOME FOOD. WHICH BOOK DO YOU WANT TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE?
‘Why won’t she shut up about this series?’, you’re probably asking yourselves. Well, I just can’t help myself. I want everyone to understand why this is my favourite series of 2019 so far.
LIGHT THE BBQ. WHICH BOOK TOOK A WHILE TO GET GOING?
I’ll be the first to admit that this isn’t anywhere near as great as the first book but it’s still decent. It takes a while to get to the main crux of the story and Felicity can seem a little too prim at first but do stick with it and you’ll find something great.
FAILED BBQ. WHICH BOOK ULTIMATELY DISAPPOINTED YOU?
For a book that is supposed to be classic dystopian fiction, the only thing that scared me was the utter stupidity of the main characters. Just call the authorities and get the place closed down, for heaven’s sake!
IT’S RAINING… OF COURSE! WHICH BOOK IS PERFECT TO CURL UP WITH WHEN IT’S RAINING OUTSIDE?
Nothing like a good long meaty trilogy when you’re stuck indoors for hours!
LET’S JUST EAT CHOCOLATE. WHICH BOOK IS JUST SUPER SWEET?
I dare you not to read this and not be utterly charmed by Count Rostov.
If you fancy giving this book tag a go, please do!
I hope to see you again very soon.
