I can’t say I’m a big Taylor Swift fan. I mean, I won’t turn the radio off if she comes on but I don’t keep on top of her albums so I’ve never listened to Lover. Nevertheless, this looks like a fun tag and a big thank you to Sweaters and Raindrops for tagging me!

I FORGOT THAT YOU EXISTED
a book from your childhood that you don’t remember anything about
I used to read loads of Jacqueline Wilson book but I hardly remember anything about them apart from Tracy Beaker.
the worst book you’ve read this summer
Appalling misogyny, aggravatingly thuggish protagonist and racist undertones all over the place. This definitely need to be left back in the 30s!
a bookish relationship that’s perfect exactly the way it is
I love the way Alexia and Lord Macconn verbally spar with one another and you can tell from the beginning they have excellent chemistry.
a book with a badass female main character
How about dozens and dozens of badass female characters?
a book with great character development
I could put any book from the Mistborn trilogy here but, in this book, Vin and Elend’s efforts to grow into their roles as leaders and to keep their own demons at bay were at the heart of the book. It’s quite the bumpy road but it’s an excellent read.
I THINK HE KNOWS
your fictional crush
I hope I meet someone like Jamie someday!
MISS AMERICANA & THE HEARTBREAK PRINCE
a book set in high school
Well, it’s the vampire equivalent of high school.
a book with a happy ending
It’s a little confusing and convoluted but, if it made sense, that would miss the point entirely. Nevertheless, it’s a happy ending.
a setting you’ll never forget
What’s more memorable than Discworld?
DEATH BY A THOUSAND CUTS
a book that broke your heart
This broke my heart, put it back together again and pulled it to pieces again, toying with it like a cat with a mouse!
a setting that plays a big role in the story
London Below is definitely the most prominent part of the book, both fascinating and dangerous.
SOON YOU’LL GET BETTER
a book that made you cry
Aza’s struggles really struck a chord with me and I really felt for her.
a book with a well-written sexy scene
Uh, sorry. I usually skip sexy scenes so I don’t have anything.
YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN
a book featuring an lgbtq romance
And one that ends happily, no less!
a great second chance romance
The definitive second chance romance and the best I’ve read (so far).
your all time favourite book
Oh, my word, what a question! At the moment, it’s got to be the Winternight trilogy.
IT’S NICE TO HAVE A FRIEND
your favourite friends to lovers book
This was a hard one so I’ll have to go with Sweaters and Raindrops’ pick. It’s a good one too, full of will-they, won’t-they.
a book with a positive message
This book gives a powerful message about the fight for justice. It won’t be easy and you will be knocked back several times but you must stand up for what is right.
I tag anyone who likes Taylor Swift (or likes this tag, at least).
