I was tagged by the always-lovely Sweaters and Raindrops and, as I am definitely guilty of falling in love with books just for their cover, this was a lot of fun.
The Rules:
1. Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
2. Meantion me Tiana @ The Book Raven as the lovely creater of this book tag!
3. Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
4. At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag. Even if your like me sometimes and feel a bit lazy 😉
5. List the rules
“No Ideas But in Things” A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it
It won’t strike you as soon as you pick it up but, once you’ve read the book and flip the book over to put it on the shelf, you realise just how many elements of the book were hidden in the cover from the ruby necklace to the fox.
“Dark and Lovely” A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up
I’m not really one for creepy covers but this certainly fits the bill!
“Sugary Sweet” A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug
One from my TBR now and just look at this scene! So cute!
“The Simple Aesthetic” A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design
The tricolour cockade and the pimpernell. Pretty much sums it up.
“Cover Envy” A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet
I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this book. So many gorgeous details and I absolutely love marine fantasy. I’m so excited to finally see it on my shelf.
“Traveling Abroad” A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own
Hey, the brief wasn’t ‘countries that exist’. When it comes to detailed covers showing another country, you can’t get much better than the classic Discworld covers.
“The Color Wheel” A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors
My favourite colour is red and this is the most vivid red on my Read list. Wow, that was a lot of red in one sentence.
“Switching Gears” A cover change you absolutely adore
The grey cover is good but I definitely like this blue stag one better. It creates a nice little undercurrent of suspense as you wonder where the stag comes into the story so the payoff is all the better.
“Oldie but Goodie” A favorite cover of your favorite classic
Jane Eyre is my favourite classic novel and I’m a sucker for Burton-esque art so this is the perfect combo.
“And the Winner is…” Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?
Definitely The Familiars. Gorgeous art style and very clever design, I love it!
I tag anyone who has even picked up a book just for their cover.
I totally agree re: the Grisha trilogy change of covers! That stag is glorious. What a fun tag!

These covers are absolutely stunning! I especially adore the covers for Deeplight and The Familiars. And I totally agree that the new covers for the Grisha Trilogy are way better than the old ones. Great post!
