The Book Snob Tag

This is another tag from A Little But A Lot. I thought I would be a bigger book snob but it turns out that I’m not as snobbish as I thought.

Original Creator: Tia @ tia and all the books

ADAPTATION SNOB: DO YOU ALWAYS READ THE BOOK BEFORE YOU SEE THE MOVIE?

matilda reading

If I have the choice and the opportunity, I usually read the book first.

FORMAT SNOB: YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE 1 FORMAT IN WHICH TO READ BOOKS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. WHICH ONE DO YOU CHOOSE: PHYSICAL BOOKS, EBOOKS, OR AUDIOBOOKS?

headphones

Audiobooks every time. I wouldn’t be able to read as many books as I do without them.

SHIP SNOB: WOULD YOU DATE OR MARRY A NON-READER?

shrug

Just so long as they don’t pester me when I’m trying to read, I don’t mind at all.

GENRE SNOB: YOU HAVE TO DITCH ONE GENRE – NEVER TO BE READ AGAIN FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. WHICH ONE DO YOU DITCH?

crime scene

Oh dear. I really don’t like the idea of ditching a whole genre. If I really had to pick (and this is simply because I don’t read much of it), I’d have to go with crime fiction.

UBER GENRE SNOB: YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE TO READ FROM ONE GENRE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. WHICH GENRE DO YOU CHOOSE?

is this just fantasy

Fantasy, without a doubt.

COMMUNITY SNOB: WHICH GENRE DO YOU THINK RECEIVES THE MOST SNOBBERY FROM THE BOOKISH COMMUNITY?

kermit vampire

Vampire fiction. Damn you, Twilight. There’s a lot of good books buried under it and all its copycats.

SNOBBERY RECIPIENT: HAVE YOU EVER BEEN SNUBBED FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE BEEN READING OR FOR READING IN GENERAL?

ichabod reading

I’ve received some ribbing from my family for reading in the corner during family engagements e.g. Christmas, birthday parties, etc. Hey, I like it more than making small talk and I’m not hurting anyone!

I tag anyone who wants to put their book snobbery to the test!

I hope to see you again very soon.
