Elli’s Questions
- Is there any upcoming movie or tv show releases you’re really looking forward to?
Series 3 of His Dark Materials. I have no idea when it’s going to be out but I’m eager to see how they’re going to adapt The Amber Spyglass. That’s definitely the weirdest and most theological of the trilogy so I’m interested to see how much Christian controversy the production team are willing to court.
- What’s the last book that you added to your TBR/Wishlist?
Mostly because of the cover and mostly because I really need to read more LGBT stuff.
- Do you binge series (either book series of television series?)
When I get the opportunity, yes! I recently semi-binged the Folk of the Air Series (I read the second and third books simultaneously).
- Which author is your most read author?
I’ll put my most-read author that I like rather than my most-read author because I would have to put the authors of House of Night if I was going for a literal interpretation and I hated those books. So, my most-read author that I like is Neil Gaiman. I think I’ve read about 10 of his books and I’m always on the lookout for more.
- Favourite/most used emoji??
😊
Turns out I’m a blushing smiler.
My Questions
- What artistic skill would you like to learn?
- What existing skill would you like to become a master at?
- Which of Snow White’s dwarfs best describes you?
- What was your last song on Spotify/music playing app of your choice?
- If you could give a piece of advice to your pre-2020 self, what would it be?
I tag:
- Katie @ Never Not Reading
- chonkybooks
- Louise @ Lou’s Book Stuff
- Musing of Souls
- bookforager
- And anyone who wants to answer my questions!
Thank you for the nomination! I have saved it to fill out another day! I love your answers… I am actually amazed to see that you also read all the House of Night books because I actually haven’t met anyone else who has read them. I remember getting the first one from the library years ago needing more vampire books in my life after reading Twilight and I became a bit obsessed and read them all. Looking back though I can’t believe I liked them but there were so many and I read them all LOL! xx

It was pretty much the same with me the first time I read HoN. Then, when I reread them years later, I realised the books were actually rubbish. Maybe, back then, I liked the idea of a vampire finishing school too much to be critical about the story or the writing style.

Thank you for tagging me! 😃
I’m so bad at catching up with tags at the moment (I think you tagged me for another one that I’ve still not done yet??)
It’s very much appreciated, even if I am horribly lazy!

Loved your answers! Yeah I definitely added In Deep Waters to my TBR for two reasons: the cover and the pirates!

Great answers! I really need to watch the new His Dark Materials series, I loved the trilogy (though Amber Spyglass broke my heart!). I really like Gaiman too! I’ve only read a few House of Night books, ages and ages ago when I was probably like 11? Sorry you hated them! I’ve just gone to look on Goodreads and some of the reviews are cracking me up so much, you’re definitely not alone

Thanks. The new His Dark Materials series is amazing! Hope you get to see it soon.
Yeah, I really wouldn’t recommend going back to House of Night. It won’t be a pleasant experience!
