A big thanks to Elli @ AceReader for tagging me! I haven’t been keeping up with recent releases in music lately so, believe it or not, Evermore passed me by. I really need to listen to this album at some point. I’ve heard great things about it.

willow // a book with a character you can’t help but fall in love with
Evelyn is flawed, ruthless, cunning and completely lovable. You may not like all the decisions she makes but you can’t deny that she’s a brilliant character.

champagne problems // a book with a broken relationship
Tana and Aiden had broken up by the time the book starts and it’s not hard to see why. Aiden is an expert at talking his way out of serious discussions, is impossible to please, impossible to trust completely and loves playing hot and cold with her. Even a loose cannon vampire is better boyfriend material than him.

gold rush // a book you love with all your heart
Was there ever any doubt I would pick this?

’tis the damn season // a book in which the character reconnects with their family/hometown
Does it count if the characters are connecting with family they didn’t even know they had? Well, I say it counts.

tolerate it // a book with a suffering relationship
I really didn’t like the adult Lyra became and I can totally see why she and Pan are growing apart.

no body, no crime // a book about murder
Clue’s in the title and this is most definitely an unusual book about murder that’s worth checking out even if you aren’t a crime fan.

happiness // a book that’s an old favourite, but you just can’t relate to anymore
I can’t believe I actually thought the House of Night series was good when I first read it. I wasn’t even in my teens when I first read it either so I don’t have that excuse. Re-reading the series again for the sake of CROWS reviews was a nasty shock, I can tell you that.

dorothea // a book featuring old (or strong) friendships
The friendship between Jean and Locke is what makes this series great. Their skills compliment each other so well and their banter is some of the funniest I’ve ever read.

coney island // a book that made you cry – completely destroyed you
I defy anyone to read this and not be a complete sobbing wreck by the end!

ivy // a book that was an unexpected favourite
I picked this up on a whim and because I vaguely remembered a good review about it. I was not expecting to find it so fascinating or to change my view on mortality so much!

cowboy like me // a book about thieves, or criminals
There is really only one answer to this prompt. I am not ashamed of copying Elli on this one!

long story short // a book that made up your childhood
There are several answers I could give to this but I’m going to go with The Worst Witch. This and the original (and best) TV show made up my childhood. I was the show I would rush home from school to see and these were the books I loved to read over and over again when I was a kid. I was definitely recommend it if you’re looking to fill the magic-school shaped gap left when a certain author’s tweets put you off Hogwarts.

marjorie // a book with a moving message
A powerful message on why art matters and a great pick me up for any creator’s who’s mentally running on fumes as I was when I picked up the audiobook.

closure // a series in which you NEED the next book
That cliffhanger ending is driving me spare! I need to know what happened to Spensa!

evermore // the perfect conclusion to an extremely long (but worth it) series
For what it was, The Shepherd’s Crown felt like a great way to end the long (but definitely worth it) Discworld series.
I loved your answers!!
