Goodreads is still my go-to reading tracker but I know it’s far from perfect. So, this tag I found on Sorry I Am Booked caught my eye and it turned out to be a rather fun exercise.

What is the highest rated book that you gave a low rating? (Sort your books in Goodreads based on Average Ratings and find the highest rated book you gave a low rating)
Somehow, this has a 4.43 rating. Surely, a frustratingly slow story that didn’t move the trilogy forward at all and an overload of classical quotes and cliches doesn’t deserve that much.
What is the lowest rated book that you gave a high rating? (Sort your books in Goodreads based on Avg Ratings, in reverse order, and find the lowest rated book you gave a high rating)
It’s 3.43 average rating might just be because it has less than 200 ratings and the fact that this is fairly niche. Still, this deserves a higher rating!
What is the most popular book you disagree with the avg rating? (Sort your books in Goodreads based on number of Ratings, and find the first book you disagree with the avg rating)
I don’t think New Moon deserves 3.55 stars. Even the one star I gave it was too generous.
What is the least popular book you disagree with the avg rating? (Sort your books in Goodreads based on number of Ratings, in reverse order, and find the first book you disagree with the avg rating)

I think 3.47 is a bit too generous for a boring plot and an over-saintly disabled character.

Hey, Peas and Queues might state the obvious most of the time but it’s worth listening to for the funny stories. The Essex Serpent has a great gothic vibe too.

And, 1 star is nothing more than those two deserve for having terrible plots and annoying characters!

I just couldn’t get into Legendborn, no matter how much I liked the new angle on the Arthurian legend. I really didn’t like the rationalising in Bright We Burn either.
Choose two books that have an average rating of 2/5 stars but you gave a higher rating
I haven’t read a book with an average of two stars yet. Guess I have decent reading taste.
Do you tend to agree or disagree with GR average rating and do you use GR as a guide for books you want to read?
I think I have a tendency to be a bit more generous than GR but that all depends on the book. I don’t really pay attention to the GR rating of a book either. I tend to look at the reviews themselves rather than the rating.
I really love this tag but it feels like it would require a lot of effort for me to do and I am so lazy! I have bookmarked it though, maybe one day haha!

I thought it would take a lot of effort too but it turned out not to be as time-consuming as I feared. Hope you enjoy it 😊
