Disney Princess Sidekicks Book Tag

I spotted this tag on alittlebutalot. It looks like a nice original take on a Disney book tag so I decided to give it a go.

Original Creator: Book Princess Reviews

xx

Mushu from Mulan/Olaf + Sven from Frozen

The Comic Relief – Name your favorite hilarious character or your favorite comedy/funny book

the last hero

I could put a lot of Discworld characters in this entry. A lot of them could be the Silver Horde from The Last Hero but I’m going to go with Leonard da Quirm. He’s not in many of the Discworld books but his mild-mannered madness is always entertaining.

the seven dwarfs

The Seven Dwarfs from Snow White

Favorite Group/Ensemble

the diviners

I was very tempted to put Six of Crows here but that felt like a cliche so I’m going to go with Evie and the gang from the Diviners series. Evie is an adorable mess, Mabel has real potential and the others (Theta, Memphis, Ling and Henry) are all awesome.

pascal

Pascal from Tangled

The loyal cheerleader chameleon (not a frog, Flynn Rider) – Name a book that started out one way but changed for you

ballad

I’ve always said I thought this book should have been two fully fleshed out novels rather than a very unsatisfying long novel. The book certainly changed a lot from start to finish both in terms of setting and the story. I was willing to give it a chance at the beginning when Lucy Grey seemed like a promising character but the ending really let me down.

meeko

Meeko from Pocahontas

Pocahontas’s sly and sneaky raccoon friend – Name a plot twist that you did not see coming

mermaid witch and sea

There were a lot of plot twists that I didn’t see coming in this one but that one at the end was one that really got me. No spoilers but just…oh my God…

Rajah from Aladdin / Flounder from The Little Mermaid

Gentle with their princess but protective with everyone else – Name your favorite best friend in a novel

red seas

Locke would not be anywhere without Jean by his side, that’s for sure!

Louis from The Princess and the Frog / Sebastian from The Little Mermaid / Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, & Chip from Beauty and the Beast

The Musical Bunch – Name a novel where music played a big part or made you want to sing its praises

bear and the nightingale

It turns out that I don’t read many novels about music so I’m just going to sing the praises of The Bear and the Nightingale again!

maximus

Maximus from Tangled

The obstacle in Flynn Rider’s way – Name a character that faces a lot of obstacles

meridas bros

Hamish, Hubert, & Harris from Brave

Favorite family dynamics in a novel

record of a spaceborn few

Tessa’s family is one of many storylines in this book. They might not be the most dramatic or glamorous family on the ship but, boy, are they relatable!

Ray from The Princess and the Frog / 3 Fairies from Sleeping Beauty

The Advice Givers – Book that most impacted your life

smoke gets in your eyes

I’d still say Smoke Gets In Your Eyes. It’s still the book that truly changed the way I think about something major. It taught me to view mortality without fear and that it was okay to look up natural burial sites in my area.

hei hei

Hei Hei from Moana

Name a character that steals the show

spellslinger

Ferius Parfax steals every scene she’s in. Every time she comes in, I get so excited because I know she’s going to be awesome.

gus and jaq

Gus & Jaq from Cinderella

Opposites Attract – Name your favorite or worst opposite attracts pairing

you should see me in a crown

Liz and Amanda are the perfect ‘opposites-attract’ couple. Liz has to conform to a set of very strict social rules to get by and Amanda just doesn’t give a damn about them. Amanda was a real breath of fresh air for the whole book and is the perfect counterpart for Liz.

I tag anyone who wants to show sidekicks some love!

I hope to see you again very soon.
