I’ll get round to it later… book tag!

Well, it’s safe to say that I have a very bad habit of procrastinating and not doing things I should do until late. I procrastinated on signing up to my library’s audiobook borrowing service, on getting into eBooks and on a lot of other things. So, this tag I found on Maggie’s Doodles feels rather fitting and, true to form, I’ve left it to the very end of the month!

a classic book you have been meaning to read forever but haven’t yet. //

things fall apart

I’ve been meaning to read this and form my own opinion on it ever since I saw Crash Course Literature’s videos on it. Yet, I still haven’t got round to it!

a book on your shelf you haven’t read yet. //

jasmine throne

This has been on the shelf for months and the length of it keeps putting me off. I really need to read it soon. I don’t want to end up leaving my longest books until the last minute again!

A book that you got recently but haven’t read. //

code name madeleine

I spotted a copy of this in a museum a few months ago. I picked it up immediately as it’s a book I want to read for the Studio Ghibli Reading Challenge. It’s been waiting on my shelf ever since. I will definitely get to it at some point.

a book that you’ve had forever but haven’t read. //

rules for vampires

This was more of an impulse buy when I spotted this in my local bookshop. I haven’t been able to find a place in my reading challenges for it. Maybe, I’ll have time for it around Halloween.

a book that a friend recommended that you haven’t read. //

the casquette girls

This book has been recommended by several people in my blogosphere but I still haven’t got round to starting it. Like my previous answer, I can’t find a space for it in my reading challenge but this may be a good spooky season read. I’ll just have to find the time and space in my reading schedule.

a book that you are procrastinating on. //

under the whispering door

I got this a while back and I’m pretty sure I’ll love it. I’ve even found a space for it in my reading challenges and yet I always seem to have another book that needs my attention more. What gives? Maybe it’s because I know I’ll love it and I want to get the more average books out of the way first.

the next book on your TBR (to be read) //

quackery

At the time of writing this, I want to go through my eBooks and this one looks like a good place to start. I love weirder history and I’ve heard good things about it.

I tag anyone who will definitely do this tag some time soon!

I hope to see you again very soon.

  1. Things Fall Apart was such a good read. I read it while in college but not for class and was surprised I liked it since back then I was convinced I wouldn’t like any classics.
